YZ
YZ (pronounced 'eyes') is an established French street artist who gained international recognition since 2003 with her project 'Open Your Eyes'. Her art is centered on the question of humanity and authenticity in the context of a modern metropolis. Yseult Digan aka YZ (b. 1975) lives and works in Montreuil near Paris. YZ primarily works as a painter creating original artworks on kraft paper that she puts up on city walls like posters. These short-lived images become part of the city environment and question its fading memories. Works by YZ have been exhibited at the Grand Palais and at Fondation Cartier in Paris. In 2013 YZ has been invited for an artist residency at Centre Pompidou as part of project In-Situ. The collection was acquired by Carl Falck in late 2015. World AIDS Day on the 1st December premieres the first piece, 'Mawusse' - Woman Warrior - as part of the private collection of CFA Creative.
